Former GSS professor Lyn Slater — or Accidental Icon, as she is known on social media — recently appeared on the “Everything is Fine” podcast in an episode titled “How to be Iconic at Any Age.” The podcast is hosted by Tally Abecassis and Kim France.
According to France’s blog “Girls of a Certain Age,” Slater discussed “working on a different notion of what aging can be, using clothes to express our identities, embracing our imperfections, rejecting Photoshop, and tons more.”
Slater is a social-work-professor-turned-fashion-icon. She has amassed an Instagram following of nearly 750,000 people, and has been featured in media outlets such as The New York Times, Medium, and Refinery 29.
