Fordham GSS Assistant Professor Jenn Lilly, Ph.D., has just published a new research paper titled “Developing the Weaving Healthy Families Program to Promote Wellness and Prevent Substance Abuse and Violence: Approach, Adaptation, and Implementation.”
The article, published in Families in Society: The Journal of Contemporary Social Services, addresses the critical need for culturally grounded and community-based family prevention programs that promote mental health, wellness, and resilience while addressing violence and substance abuse among Indigenous families. In the paper, Lilly describes the structure and content of the Weaving Healthy Families program and outlines its development and implementation approach.
