On June 24 at 6 p.m. ET, Graduate School of Social Service James R. Dumpson Chair in Child Welfare Studies Anne Williams-Isom, J.D., D.Min., will join nonprofit organization Rising Ground for a panel discussion exploring the historic links between human services, child welfare, and communities of color.
To celebrate 190 years since the opening of the Leake & Watts Orphan House in lower Manhattan in 1831, Rising Ground organized a speaker series — the 190th Discussion Series — in partnership with Trinity Church Wall Street.
Williams-Isom will be joined by Rising Ground CEO Alan Mucatel; Dr. Robyn Brown-Manning, LMSW, of the Hunter College School of Social Work; and Dr. Melba Butler, LCSW, of Iona College.
