Welcoming the Future of Social Work to Campus

0

The week of August 19 marked the beginning of orientation week at Fordham GSS. We welcomed our MSW students to campus, programming a day’s worth of activities at the Lincoln Center and Westchester campuses.

Incoming students networked with faculty, staff, and current students; explored campus on tours led by our student ambassadors; and participated in multiple activities designed to kickstart their collaboration with classmates—forming relationships that will continue to flourish until graduation day.

“Thousands of people applied for the chance to sit where you are sitting today,” Associate Director of Admissions Stephen McGowan, LMSW, told the incoming cohort. “You belong here.”

Orientation starts a new journey—one of growth, excitement, and, most of all, connection. GSS is proud to welcome the future of our profession to campus and the Fordham M.S.W. program—where they will expand on and sharpen a skillset allowing them to create the change they want to see.
