Congratulations to the Fordham GSS Class of 2023!
“Social workers bear witness to the nation’s deepest flaws,” GSS Dean Debra M. McPhee, Ph.D., said at the GSS Diploma Ceremony on Tuesday. “Our work confirms that inequality, racism, and oppression are not just political buzzwords, but systemic realities that shape lives.”
GSS graduates are the light that refuses to relent to darkness. Words like micro and macro do not define them. They transcend traditional pathways to do whatever it takes for their communities.
As the Class of 2023 enters their post-MSW careers, they meet a world that is far from perfect. But they are prepared to handle anything.
