The Graduate School of Social Service is proud to announce Jeff Coyle, LCSWR, as our new Assistant Dean of Student Services!

Coyle will replace Linda White-Ryan, Ph.D., as head of our Student Services Department. White-Ryan will now act as Associate Dean of Academic Affairs.

Previously, Coyle served as MSW Program Director and, subsequently, Associate Dean for Academic Programs at Wurzweiler School of Social Work at Yeshiva University. He has deep ties to Fordham, having graduated from GSS in 1992 and, in 2012, returning to serve as Associate Director of Field Education and later as the Interim Director of Field Education Department.
Coyle has more than 30 years of experience in community mental health administration and direct practice, and more than 15 years as an adjunct teaching social work education.
“Jeff stood out from a strong pool of applicants for his knowledge, experience in service to students, and demonstrated leadership skills,” said Debra McPhee, Ph.D., dean at the Graduate School of Social Service. “His knowledge of Fordham, combined with his experience in the areas of administration, direct practice, and teaching, will make Jeff a tremendous asset to GSS.”
“I am confident Jeff will continue the legacy of outstanding service and leadership established by Linda White-Ryan,” McPhee continued, “and ensure that the Student Services Department continues to thrive and distinguish GSS as a student-centered school.”
