CSW60: Women and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

0

For two weeks in March, the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) turns the focus of the United Nations towards women and gender related issues worldwide.

At the same time, civil society is given the opportunity to participate in the NGO CSW Forum, organized by NGO CSW/NY. Independent from the UN, the NGO CSW Forum gives activists from around the world the opportunity to discuss issues pertaining to women and girls, to network, share strategies/good practices, and to lobby governments to implement resolutions and treaties.

The NGO CSW Forum includes a Consultation Day, Reception, and Parallel Events.

CSW60 and the NGO CSW Forum will take place 14-24 March, 2016.

This year’s priority theme is “Women’s empowerment and its link to sustainable development.” The review theme is “The elimination and prevention of all forms of violence against women and girls.”

Please visit www.ngocsw.org for more information on the upcoming forum.
