Fordham GSS Professor Mary Ann Forgey, Ph.D., will present at the 2023 Military Social Work & Behavioral Health Conference in Austin, TX next week.
The conference will run from June 12-14. Forgey will present on the 12th from 3:45 – 4:45 p.m. in Breakout 3 (TCC Room #1.110).
Forgey’s presentation is titled “Strengthening Military Social Work Practice through the Development of an International Perspective.” She will present alongside Karen Green-Hurdle, MPH, AMHSW, GD.
This is not the first time Forgey and Green-Hurdle have collaborated. Their most recent effort came through a new book titled Military Social Work Around the Globe, published in January by Springer. The book explains and analyzes the perspective and individual approach toward military social work of 11 countries that employ social workers within their national defense departments.
