Carole Cox to Present at UConn Aging Conference

Fordham GSS Professor Carole Cox, Ph.D. will present next week at a national conference on aging.

The conference, titled “The Collective Spirit of Aging Through a Human Rights Perspective” is being held virtually on February 16, from 12  – 1:30 p.m. ET. The University of Connecticut’s Center for International Social Work Studies (CISWS) will play host to the event.

Cox will present alongside Dr. Catherine Medina, Associate Professor Emerita at UConn School of Social Work; and Dr. Rupal Parakh, Assistant Professor at UConn School of Social Work. Dr. Rebecca Thomas, UConn School of Social Work Professor and Director at CISWS, will moderate.

Conference topics include: unpacking the framework of human rights and aging; transportation as a human right and structural issues; and health and mental health in the aging population.
