GSS Professors Carole Cox, Ph.D., and Elaine Congress, D.S.W., appeared in the media this week for their efforts in the social work field.
Cox was interviewed by News 12: The Bronx this morning to detail her “Empowerment Workshop Series” for NYC grandparents. The workshop — started 20 years ago at Fordham and now conducted via Zoom meetings — aims to aid grandparents as they navigate the difficult task of raising children during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Additionally, Elaine Congress’ newest book, Behavioral Sciences in the Global Arena: Assessing Timely Issues at the UN and Beyond, was featured in Psychology Today‘s blog post from December 8.
