The Institute for Women and Girls co-sponsored a Conference with the International Health Awareness Network (IHAN) on November 2, 2017 at the UN Church Center, attended by over 75 students, faculty, and administrators.
The Conference was entitled “Health and the Sustainable Development Goals: The International Community’s Response to Challenges Facing Refugees and Forced Migrants.”
There was a panel of distinguished speakers – including Dr. Chowdhury, Former Under-Secretary of the United Nations and Dr Marciana Popescu, Associate Professor at GSS was the keynote speaker.
Three students from Fordham were awarded monetary prizes for their essays on solutions to the challenges facing refugees and forced migrants.
