In August 2022, Essence Magazine featured Tabatha in an article titled “Conversations To Have With Your Kids As They Go Back To School According to Therapists.”
Two essential tips she provided for families preparing their child to return to school were discussing routines and schedules.
“Including children in discussions about schedules and changes can help decrease a child’s stress and anxiety level,” Ferrer said.
Another tip was to practice morning affirmation with their child.
“Often having a rough morning can lead to a child having a challenging start to their school day,” she said.
Tabatha looks forward to continuing to spread the important message of youth managing their emotions and mental well-being through The 4AIR Project, LLC.
“During my time at Fordham, I truly appreciated the relationships I had with my teachers. They made a point to know each student individually and provided extra support when needed with no hesitation. The lessons and conversations had in class helped to develop many of my skills to be able to confidently be able to support the youth I work with today.”
Thanks so much for all of your great work and for keeping in touch, Tabatha! #ForeverARam
