GSS Westchester Graduation BBQ

0

A buzz of excitement emanated from Fordham Westchester’s beautifully flowered courtyard as graduating Fordham GSS students celebrated their up-coming graduation from the MSW program.  For many, the celebratory barbeque hosted by GSS administration was a delightful way to reminisce on their graduate school experiences.  Students, faculty and staff members in attendance not only shared memories and tasty food, but future plans on how they will contribute to society by using their social work education.

Associate Dean Ji Seon Lee officially opened the BBQ by congratulating the 2016 Westchester graduates on their achievements and perseverance. Joan Cavanagh, Director of Campus Ministry at Fordham Westchester prayed for the graduates, issuing the Jesuit credo go set the world on fire with love and good deeds.  Assistant Dean Linda White-Ryan ended the congratulatory speeches by intimately expressing gratitude for the graduates and their impact on the Fordham Westchester campus, which they may always call home after graduating.
The celebration ended with smiles, countless photos, and vanilla and chocolate cakes that were happily devoured by all.
